The primary misssion for this show is for pole hobbyists to fundraise for organizations that support sex workers and marginalized pole dancers. Pole hobbyist performers have paid a registration fee to help fundraise and we've set aside some free registrations for our performers who are sex workers. We've opted to not make this a tipping event. If you really want to tip a dancer, we'd be happy to point you in the direction of some clubs or you can CashApp GLP directly.

We Strive to Support Sex Workers
Pole dance as a hobby exists thanks to sex workers in strip clubs. We do not want to separate ourselves from sex workers, but instead want to stand with them in allyship. 50% of profit from the Pole for Justice event (including performer registration, performer photo/video packages, audience tickets, food & beverage, and merchandise sales) is donated to Greenlight Project Seattle.

The other 50% of profit from the event funds Positive Spin Pole Dance's low-income scholarship program, so we can help make pole dancing accessible to more people.

Pole hobbyist support for sex workers should be a continuous effort. While P4J is a great way to participate, also consider options like heading to the club and throwing cash, educating yourself and others about the origins of pole and destigmatizing sex work, and keep an eye out for calls for mutual aid in your pole community.
